  • Vinegar
  • Dish Washer
  • Table salt
  • Corn starch.
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Hydrogen peroxide

Steps to be followed to remove stain easily

  • Always act fast when you find a stain or a spill. The faster you act, the easier you can remove the stain.
  • If the stain is quite persistent, Presoak the fabric with a detergent and then try it with a stain remover.
  • Whenever you are in the process of clearing a  stain, wash the fabric in the warmest setting available in your washing machine. Never switch your mode to the dryer option before removing the stain.

Adhesive stains

To remove an adhesive stain follow these steps.

  • Apply vinegar to the stain.
  • Rub it with a towel to remove it. 

Note: If you don’t have vinegar, rub it with cold water or ice and gently scrape the adhesive with a hard knife.

Baby oil stains

To remove baby oil spilled in the fabric, follow these

  • Soak the fabric in detergent.
  • Treat the stain directly with detergent.
  • Rub it gently

Note: You can also treat the stain with a talcum powder. Let the powder absorb the stain and then treat the fabric with detergent. Rinse it with hot water to remove it.

Baked beans stains

To remove baked bean stains work from the backside of the fabric and follow these

  • Treat the stain with cold water
  • Soak the fabric for about 30 minutes in detergent powder or detergent liquid.
  • Rinse well.

Note: If the stain does not remove with the above steps then treat the stain with vinegar.

Barbeque sauce stains

To remove barbeque sauce stains follow these steps,

  • Treat the stain with vinegar. 
  • Rub it gently.
  • Wash it with liquid laundry detergent.

Beverage stains

To remove the beverage stains follow these steps,

  • Treat the stain with ice or cold water.
  • Then soak the fabric with the detergent powder or detergent liquid.
  • Then treat the stain with sodium hypochlorite bleach.

Blood stains

To remove the bloodstains follow these steps,

 For fresh stains

  • Treat the blood stain with cold water. Never treat it with hot water as it retains the stain
  • Then wash it.

For older stains

  • Soak the fabric in detergent for 30 minutes
  • Launder it.

Brown or Yellow discoloration

Follow these steps to remove brown or yellow decoloration

  • Soak the fabric in detergent for 30 minutes
  • And then rinse the fabric.

Butter stains

If you accidentally find any butter stains follow these steps

  •    If you have any stain remover at your place, treat the fabric with it.
  •    Wash the stained area in the fabric with hot water.

Candle wax stains

Candle wax stains  can be removed with these steps

  •  Scrape the wax stain with a dull knife.
  •  If the wax is persistent, Let the wax be absorbed with tissue paper. Place tissue paper on the stain and iron it. Let the tissue paper absorb the wax.
  • Then treat the fabric with a stain remover.
  • Rinse the fabric.   

Note: For persistent candle stain wax, use sodium hypochlorite bleach or oxygen bleach.

Crayon stains

Crayon stains can be treated the same way as candle wax stain. Even after following the basic steps and if the stain remains, Do not hesitate to treat the fabric with bleach.

Chocolate stains

 Chocolate satin is the most happening one, Follow these steps to remove it

  • Scrape off the excess chocolate with a dull knife.
  • Soak the fabric with cold water.
  • Treat the fabric with stain remover.
  • Launder it with the safest option.

Note: If the stain remains, prefer to bleach the fabric.

Coffee/Tea stains

  Coffee stains happen frequently, But don’t worry, just follow these steps

  • Soak the fabric in cold water for 15 minutes.
  • Again soak the fabric with the launder powder.
  • Rinse it.
  • For persistent stain treat the fabric with bleach.

Lipstick stains

  • Treat the stain with laundry soap or soak the fabric with detergent powder.
  •  Rinse the fabric.

Dairy Product stains:

  • Soak the fabric for an hour.
  • Rinse it.

Note: If the stain remains, treat the fabric with stain remover.

Deodorant stains

  • Soak the fabric for 30 minutes and then wash it.
  • For heavy stains, treat the fabric with stain remover or bleach.

Egg stains

 Egg stains are often disgusting as the smell retains. Follow these steps to remove it,

  • Soak the fabric with detergent powder for 30 minutes.
  • And then rinse it.

Fruit Juice stains

  • Wash the fabric with water.
  • If the stain remains, soak the fabric with detergent powder.
  • Rinse it.

Grease/oil stains

Grease stains are very common, follow these steps to remove it. 

  • For lighter stains, soak the fabric with some detergent powder. 
  • Treat the fabric with stain remover.
  • Rinse it off.

Note: For heavy stains, Treat the fabric with a strong stain remover at the back of the stained fabric. If the stain is fresh, place clean paper towels and let the oil get absorbed. Then treat it with vinegar and remove the stain.

Ice cream stains

Follow these steps to remove the stains

  • Soak the fabric with a detergent liquid or powder for 30 minutes.
  • Wash it.

Ink stains

Follow these steps

  • Place a paper towel at the back of the stained fabric and let the ink get absorbed. Replace the paper towel often.
  • If the stain persists, use rubbing alcohol and rub it for 3 minutes.
  • Wash it off.

Note: If the stain is fresh, Use a chalk piece to absorb the ink. Gel ink, Ball point ink, felt tip ink is difficult to remove. At times, it becomes impossible to remove it.

Ketchup stains

 If you accidentally, messed up with ketchup, then act immediately

  • Use a spoon to remove the ketchup from the fabric.
  • Do not let the Ketchup spread.
  • Treat the fabric with cold water to rinse it off.
  • Then soak the fabric with laundry powder.
  • Wash it.

Mayonnaise stains

  • Treat the stain with stain remover.
  • Rinse it off.

Mud stains

    Follow these steps to remove the stains

  • Soak the fabric with detergent powder or detergent liquid for some time.
  • Rinse it off.

Nail Polish stains

    Follow these steps to remove  nail polish stains  

  • Treat the stained fabric with nail polish remover.
  • If the stain remains, keep a paper towel on the top and let it absorb it.
  • Repeat the steps until the stain removes.
  • Launder it off.

Paint stains

  • Use a thinner and rub it on the stained area.
  • If you don’t have a thinner,use turpentine and rub it.
  • Rinse it off.
  • Wash the stained area with a detergent bar soap.

Note: If the paint dries, Then removing the stain would be difficult.

  • Soak the fabric for 30 minutes in detergent powder or liquid.
  • Wash it off.

Perspiration

  • Treat the stained area with vinegar and rub it.
  • If you don’t have vinegar treat the fabric with ammonia.
  • Rinse it off.
  • If the stain remains bleach the stained area.

Shoe polish

  • If you use liquid shoe polish, then soak the fabric for 30 minutes and wash it.
  • If you use shoe polish in paste form, then scrape the stain with a dull knife.
  • Soak the fabric for 30 minutes.
  • In the stained area, rub it with detergent powder.
  • Launder it off.

Soft drink stains

Follow these steps to remove the soft drink stains,

  • Treat the fabric with stain remover.
  • Soak the fabric for 30 minutes. 
  • Launder it off.

Tar stains

 If you have messed with tar, follow these steps.

  • With the dull knife scrape the tar residue.
  • Treat the stain with stain remover.
  • Place the paper towel at the backside of the stained area. And let the paper absorb the stain.
  • Replace the paper towel often.
  • Rinse it off.

Wine stains

To treat the wine stain, follow these steps

  • Soak the fabric for 30 minutes
